After 7 Mesotherapy Sessions
After 7 Mesotherapy Sessions
What
scientific studies are available on the technology and
treatment method?
There are hundreds of studies about the benefits of electrotherapy in
increasing the circulation of congested tissue areas. We’ve started a
study
group to investigate the exciting new areas of aesthetic medicine and
will use
a panel of physicians to constantly update and refine new delivery
techniques.
Our priorities are your safety, comfort and satisfaction.
Our
physician Dr Williiam Greenberg who
practices cosmetic medicine assures the best
service and treatment available.. We offer free consultations,
non-invasive
cosmetic procedures (many that can be done on your lunch hour), and
little or
no downtime for recovery. If you have any questions regarding any of
our services,

What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a safe, non-invasive anti-aging tool
involving the use of microinjections of vitamins, plant extracts,
enzymes,
homeopathics or other medications into the mesoderm (middle layer of
the skin).
The process enables healing and corrective treatment to a specific area
of the
body by increasing circulation and by the removal of fat from
surrounding
cells.
History Behind Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a medical technique that originated in 1952
by Dr. Michel Pistor, a French physician. In 1987, the
French Academy
of Medicine recognized Mesotherapy as an inherent part of traditional
medicine.
The technique was first used to treat such conditions as vascular
diseases,
sports trauma, infectious diseases, rheumatology, and for the general
improvement of ciruclation. However, soon after its discovery,
physicians
started using the technique for aesthetic indications. Today, 15,000
physicians
around the world are using Mesotherapy on a daily basis for a variety
of
purposes including cellulite reduction, body sculpting, non-genetic
hair loss,
scar revision, and skin rejuvenation.
Mesotherapy
for Cellulite
The medical term for cellulite is
liposclerosis/lipoedema.
Cellulite is a skin condition affecting over 90% of women. Even those
with a
slim figure often complain about cellulite's external lumpy, dimpled
appearance. Cellulite commonly appears on the hips, buttocks and legs
but is
not caused by excess weight as many believe.
What is Cellulite?
Cellulite appears in the subcutaneous level of the skin. Fat
cells are arranged in chambers surrounded by connective tissue called
septae.
As water is retained, fat cells held within the septae expand and
stretch the
connective tissue. Eventually this connective tissue hardens
(sclerosis)
holding the skin at a non-flexible length, while the surrounding tissue
continues to expand with weight or water gain. This results in areas of
the
skin being held down while other sections bulge outward giving the
lumpy
appearance. Mesotherapy benefits for cellulite include improved blood
flow to
the area, dissolving excess fat deposits, removing fibrotic, hardened
connective tissue, and improved lymphatic drainage.
Mesotherapy for Body
Sculpting
Is it possible to get rid of fat without having an invasive
procedure?
For those who find liposuction "too much", Mesotherapy for fat loss
and body contouring is the answer. For patients who have already had
liposuction and find fat depositing in other areas, Mesotherapy again
is the
answer. Microinjections of an individualize "fat burning" formula are
given directly into the areas being treated (love handles, arm flaps,
saddlebags, etc.) A series of treatments (3-10) are given spaced two to
four
weeks apart. Results are considered permanent as long as the patient
adheres to
a proper diet and exercise regimen. Occasional touch-ups may be
required.
Mesotherapy benefits for body sculpting include: it is specific to
treat areas
of concern, non-surgical office procedure with no downtime.
Mesotherapy vs.
Liposuction
Liposuction does not treat cellulite and in fact, it often
ends up enhancing preexisting cellulite, making the cellulite more
prominent.
Mesotherapy treats cellulite directly, and the result is a smoother
skin
surface. Mesotherapy also targets fat in trouble areas. The fat
deposits flush
out of the microinjection sites and filter out of the body through the
lymphatic system. The body does not gain the fat back in surrounding
areas as
often happens with liposuction. Unlike liposuction, Mesotherapy is a
non-surgical technique that does not require hospital admittance,
general
anesthesia, or downtime.
Mesotherapy for
Facial Rejuvenation
Mesotherapy delivers vitamins, minerals, and amino acids
directly into the skin to nourish, rejuvenate, stimulate metabolism,
and
promote collagen and elastin formation. The increase in circulation
nourishes
the body with oxygen and nutrients, and removes toxins that fascilitate
premature aging. Patients describe their skin as looking rested,
radiant and
firmer after treatment. Mesotherapy is an excellent addition to other
anti-aging strategies such as dermabrasion and topicals.
Treatments can
be used to tone and tighten as prevention, intervention, or maintenance
of the
face, neck, arms, and hands. General recommendation:
1
treatment every one to two months for maintenace.
How many treatments will I
need?
Mesotherapy typically involves 3-10 treatments depending on
the extent and area of the fat/cellulite to be treated.
How fast are the results?
Results vary depending on body type and the severity of the
condition. On the average, results can start to be seen after the
second or
third session. For certain conditions, results may be seen immediately.
Often
the patient's clothing will become looser and friends or family will
tell the
patient they appear thinner. Mesotherapy for body sculpting is more
about losing
inches than losing large amounts of weight. A proper diet consisting of
unprocessed, unrefined foods and moderate exercise can help shed these
inches
faster, especially in conjunction with a detoxification program.
Are there any side effects?
Mild swelling is expected in the treated area over the first
2 – 7 days. Some patients experience mild bruising which also
resolves
within the first week.
Are there any
restrictions?
Mesotherapy is suited for people between the ages of 18 and
75 who are in overall good health and who aspire to look and live a
healthier,
more natural lifestyle. If a component of the microinjection
protocol is
contraindicated, effective substitutes are available. General
restrictions vary depending on the condition treated and will be
discussed
prior to the initial treatment.
